¡Hola! Welcome to my virtual café ☕
Real, warm Argentine Spanish for English speakers.
Apps teach you "¿Tú quieres beber un café?" — then you arrive in Buenos Aires and hear "¡Che! ¿Tomamos un cortado?". I teach 1-on-1 lessons to help you speak naturally, without textbook stiffness.
Three things that make us sound Porteño
tap to listen ↓1. El Voseo — "Vos sos, vos tenés, vos querés"
We never use "tú". And the best secret? With vos, irregular stem changes disappear.
2. The "SH" Sound — "Yo me llamo..."
In Buenos Aires, both "LL" and "Y" sound like the English "sh" in shoe.
3. Everyday Warmth — "Che, laburo, bondi, buena onda"
Our Italian-rooted slang (Lunfardo) that you'll hear at every bakery, bus stop, and Sunday asado.
A note from me
Language isn't a spreadsheet of verbs. It's feeling at home at the table.
For the past 9 years, I've helped English speakers—expats in Buenos Aires, travelers, and people married into Argentine families—go from feeling stuck in their heads to speaking naturally.
Because I'm fluent in English, I explain tricky Spanish ideas using simple English parallels. Our lessons feel like chatting with a patient friend over coffee or mate, using a shared digital notebook we build together.
